Dr. D. Tim Crowe, Jr., DVM, DACVECC, EMT-II, GCFF receives the Ira M. Zaslow Distinguished Service Award.

This the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society’s highest award was presented to Dr. Dennis "Tim" Crowe, one of the leaders in the development of the VECCS and ACVECC.

Dr. Crowe currently is a surgeon and critical care specialist at All Pets Emergency and Referral Center in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Dr. Crowe received his DVM from Iowa State University in 1972, and board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1980. He held office as VECCS President from 1985 – 1987 and was one of the founding members of ACVECC Care, which was officially recognized as a specialty college in 1989. He was cited for his innovation in trauma management and total commitment to the specialty.
